NJ Birth to Three Early Learning Standards Series: Domain 5—Physical and Motor Development

May 23 2017 - 6:30pm to 8:30pm

Intended for use by families, child care providers, early childhood teachers, people in the community, and policymakers, the New Jersey Birth to Three Early Learning Standards provide a common framework for understanding and com-municating developmentally appropriate expectations for infants and toddlers. These standards are based on research about what children should know (understand) and do (competencies and skills) in different domains of learning and development. This series will allow participants to gain in-depth knowledge about each domain of learning outlined in the New Jersey Birth to Three Early Learning Standards. Hands-on activities will help early care educators in imple-menting the standards and connecting parents to better understanding their child’s development and learning. *Participants are encouraged to bring their own copies of the New Jersey Birth to Three Early Learning Standards, if they have them, or they can be downloaded at: www.nj.gov/education/ece/guide/standards/birth/standards.pdf
